| Inhalt | This course introduces Mobile Usability Engineering as an evidence driven approach to designing and evaluating interactive mobile applications. Students apply a user centered development process in an iterative project that moves from understanding context of use and user needs to designing, prototyping, implementing a small mobile app, and evaluating usability with appropriate methods. Topics include mobile specific interaction constraints and design patterns, requirements and task modeling, rapid low fidelity and high-fidelity prototyping, mobile application and GUI development, accessibility and inclusive design, and usability testing. |
|
| Qualifikationsziele | After completing the course, students can plan and execute an iterative usability engineering workflow for mobile products and justify design decisions with empirical evidence. They can analyze mobile usage contexts and translate insights into structured requirements, tasks, and evaluation criteria. They can create and critique prototypes, apply mobile UI standards and accessibility principles, and use user-based evaluation methods to identify usability issues, prioritize them, and derive redesign recommendations. |
